PlantBaby Co-Founders, Lauren and Alex Abelin, lovingly welcomed their son Alakai into the world in November 2019. When Alakai was 6 months old, Lauren and Alex needed to find an infant formula supplement.
After extensive research and investigation, they simply could not find a suitable plant-based, soy-free and dairy-free option. As new parents, they got frustrated. As entrepreneurs, they became curious. The facts and trends they uncovered through their research process into the state of formulas, foods and beverages for children was unsettling. Simply put, the health of our future generation is at risk. One in four children have a chronic health condition, and one in six are obese. Unwilling to accept the current state of affairs, they rolled up their sleeves and got to work. PlantBaby is their vehicle to make positive change for the health and wellbeing of children everywhere.

What makes PlantBaby different from other plant-based companies?
We design products with families and kids’ developmental needs in mind, by working with pediatricians and nutritionists on formulation. We only use organic ingredients and go above and beyond to test for glyphosate. We’re not anti-meat nor anti-dairy.
